Personality & Character is Key When It Comes To Planning Your Senior Session- Here's Mya's Approach:
First and foremost, I want to get to know YOU. Once you've inquired, I will reach out with a questionnaire form for you (or your senior) to fill out with details regarding who you are, extracurriculars you enjoy, other activities outside of school, what your personal style is, any favorite spots you regualrly go to, or just any place that sparks inspiration.
If you know exactly what you want, perfect!
If you're unsure and need suggestions, that is okay, I am here to help!
We will then go ahead and mutually decide on a shooting location, as well as your preferred season, date and time. I will send over all of the contents you need to book your session such as a contract signing and 50% retainer payment, and you'll be in the books in no time!
The best part about choosing me as your photographer, No session will ever be the same!
I approach all photography sessions with character in mind. Your senior session will not look like your other classmates session, even if you have similar shooting locations in mind. YOUR SESSION is what makes your session YOURS.
To display variety in the senior sessions I conduct, I allow the senior to bring as many outfit changes as their package allows, as well as include props that describe them and add some ambiguity.
Movement is highly encouraged, NEVER expect me to make you stand still and smile for the camera, run around, do cartwheels, climb things, let your energy and true self run free. I'm here to capture all of it, if it's authentic to you!

Senior Session FAQ:
What is your average estimated turnaround time for final gallery delivery?
All portrait session galleries will be delivered based on time of year and demand in which your session is photographed.
I edit and deliver galleries in the order of date photographed.
January - April: 2 weeks from date photographed
May - August: 2 - 4 weeks from date photographed
September - October (highest demand months): 4 - 6 weeks from date photographed
November - December: 2 - 4 weeks from date photographed
How would you describe your style?
I approach all sessions with authenticity & personality in mind. Upon booking, you will receive a questionaire form to fill out about yourself, so I may get to know you better and assist with planning the perfect senior session for you to remember and look back on for years to come.
I would describe my editing as bold, true to color with added warmth for a more nostalgic and earthy feel.
Do you provide sneak peeks?
Yes!
After your session, I will immediately back up the images that I have captured onto my computer and will hand pick & edit up to 10 photos.
I will typically send the sneak peek images in web size over text message for you to have after the shoot. These images will be included in your final gallery as well.
Please allow up to 72 hours after your session for sneak peek delivery.
Do you deliver RAW files?
I do not.
All deliverable files in your gallery will be hand edited by me in my personal editing style.

What is your editing process? Do I get to pick which images you edit?
Here is my process written out in chronological order, to best serve you, ensure security on your valuable memories, and ensure that you have all of the images you love.
1. After our session, I create a file folder with your name and session date info.
- I back up every image captured on my camera from your session to the file folder on my computer and a high quality hard drive.
2. 10 sneak peek images will be hand selected and edited by me, then sent to you.
3. I will hand cull through your captured images, sorting through the images deeming which are unusable, and which images will be selected for proofing-- and later editing.
4. Around 100 usable images are selected, downloaded as web files and uploaded to the gallery site as watermarked proofs. These images cannot be downloaded just yet.
5. You will recieve an email, notifying that your selected proofs are ready for you to view. From here, you will view and favorite the number of images your package includes, for me to edit (ex: Standard includes 50 edited images, you will favorite your top 50) You may select more than your initial package includes, the cost will be added to your invoice at $5/additonal photo edit. (sometimes it's hard to pick!)
6. I will go ahead and edit your chosen favorite images.
- Images are edited by color correcting, removing unwanted things or people from the background, retouching skin or simple imperfections if needed or requested.
7. I will upload your final edited images to your gallery, along with the sneak peeks initally provided to you.
You will recieve an email that your final gallery has been delivered.
From here, you may download your photos, share your gallery with family or friends, order prints provided in the gallery store, and share your images to social media!
REMINDER: Your gallery stays live for 6 months, please remember to download all of your images before the expiry date.
A $50 re-upload fee will incur if your gallery has to be re-uploaded for download at any point after gallery expiry.
How long will you keep my images for?
All portrait galleries stay live for up to 6 months after delivery to the client for download & printing.
I advise everyone to download their gallery as soon as possible, and back up their digital images to multiple devices (Hard Drive, USB, Computer, Dropbox, etc.) to ensure that you never lose your photos.
However, I do understand that mistakes happen. After all, photography is an investment and you want to have/keep your images.
I never delete client images and keep them for as long as I can.
